Steve Parker Builders Introduces

SP Luxury Suite Homes

In the competitive West Fort Worth market where Steve Parker Builders competes, his 25 years of experience will help to create efficiencies while maintaining the utmost in quality.  The roll-out of SP Luxury Suite Homes is aimed at answering to the empty-nester/single adult market with emphasis on smaller square footage with the highest level of amenities.

“The goal is to bring Luxury Suite homes in at a lower price point but with all the amenities and the atmosphere you would expect to find in the finest luxury hotel suite,” said Parker.  “Our target homeowner is one with other priorities in mind besides paying a large primary home mortgage.  They want to have money left for traveling, paying college expenses or purchasing a second home.”

Building SAVVY Magazine , a publication for and about the homebuilding/remodeling industry, has partnered with Steve Parker Builders to promote the first Luxury Suite home breaking ground soon as its annual “SAVVY Idea Home.”

“We seek to partner with builders in building  Idea Homes that serve as a ‘construction laboratory,' showcasing the latest in design, products and building practices.  Throughout the construction, we report on the experience of building and host informational seminars in an effort to educate our builder and remodeler  readership,” said Steve Smirnis, publisher of Building SAVVY.

“Like the previous SAVVY Idea Homes that we have constructed in various Metroplex locations, the ‘Ultimate Empty-Nester Idea Home' will exemplify the latest in green building techniques including the use of products and techniques that reduce job site waste, make use of recycled and recyclable products and save water and energy.”

“We are excited to build our 2009 SAVVY Idea Home in West Fort Worth , an area particularly popular with the many members of the baby-boom generation who are reaching the empty-nester life stage.”  Smirnis added.  “Our research told us that there is a gap in the market for these buyers.  I know, because my wife and I are at this life stage ourselves!  Most of the product currently offered that's targeted to empty-nesters is higher priced and has a ‘postage-stamp sized' outdoor living area.

Parker and Smirnis emphasized that, while small and requiring minimal maintenance, dramatic outdoor living areas with water features will be a signature of Steve Parker 's SP Luxury Suite Homes , playing an important role in the design vision.  The mission is for homeowners to feel like they are on vacation every day that they live in their SP Luxury Suite Home here in their Fort Worth home base.

To be sure that their clients enjoy equal luxury during an “away weekend,” Steve Parker Builders plans a unique promotion and advertising campaign.  Positioning the ability to “live the suite life 365 days a year,” it will award each of its new Luxury Suite homeowners an overnight stay in a hotel suite in Dallas .

“These homes are all about quality of life,” said Parker.  “Our homeowners will live 51 weeks a year an equal atmosphere as they are accustomed to living in one or two weeks a year when they are on vacation.”

Homes in the SP Luxury Suite collection have flexible rooms.  For example, a space used most of the time as a library is designed with a murphy bed and is situated beside a full bath to accommodate the extra company at holiday time when the kids are back and occupying their rooms.

“Why should a room that's used twice a year as a bedroom serve as nothing more than a bedroom all the other days of the year?” Parker questions.

Many designs in the Luxury Suite collection will include guest houses to give college-aged kids the privacy they have grown used to while away and to allow the HVAC systems to be turned down for utility savings when it's just the couple at home during normal day-to-day living.  Recognizing the attitude that “life has only just begun and retirement is still in the distant future,” held by most empty-nesters, SP Luxury Suite Homes will typically be designed with his and her offices.  Parker's designation as a Certified-Aging-In-Places (CAPS) builder will provide the education and perspective to build homes that can accommodate not only the long-term needs of their owners, but also the unexpected illness or injury that could effect an owner at any stage of life, Parker said.

Steve Parker branched out in 2007 on his own, after 25 years overseeing the remodeling/restoration division of Fred Parker Homes, his father's legendary company.  While Steve still answers to a host of referrals for luxury home remodeling, he is also beginning to make his mark in new homebuilding with the introduction of SP Luxury Suite Homes, SP Family Homes, and SP Luxury Homes series.
